Terms

How the drawing sets work. Permit sheets are not surveys. Preview is not the deliverable.

Mostly DC, Maryland, and Virginia. Based in Bel Air, Maryland.

The work

East Coast CAD LLC sells CAD and BIM drawing sets: permit plans, shop drawings, mechanical, as-builts, scan-to-BIM, exhibits, and custom programming. Quote by the set. A quote is not a contract until we both agree in writing or by email.

Permit sheets are not surveys

Permit plans are compiled from the recorded plat and public records, with the house, proposed work, and setbacks drawn in CAD. They are not a field survey and not a sealed survey unless we say so in writing. If the county requires a licensed surveyor, a new recorded plat, or the old plat does not match, that is extra work by a surveyor, not this sheet.

Online preview

The address preview is a blurry, stamped image so you can confirm the lot. It is not the deliverable. Request drawing is $75. GIS and satellite can be wrong. You still verify against the recorded plat.

No permit guarantee

We draw. The county or AHJ decides the permit. We do not guarantee approval, review comments, or that an official will accept a compiled plat in place of a sealed survey.

Your files

You warrant you may send us the address, plat, and job files. Keep your own copies. Finished CAD remains our work product until the set is paid, then you may use it for that job.

Who draws it

George & Amber Noll

East Coast CAD is a Maryland husband-and-wife shop. When you get a quote, you’re hiring George to draw the set and Amber to keep the shop moving — not a drafting mill with a rotating cast.
